One of my new favorite CCC recipes.
Chocolate-Nut Chip Cookies from mom
2 (or 1 ¾) sticks unsalted butter, soft
1 ½ c powdered sugar
1 c soft dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
3 ¼ c flour
1 t soda
½ t salt
10oz bittersweet chocolate chips
1 c slivered almonds
1 c walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter and sugars, then eggs, stir in dry mix. Add chips & nuts. Place mounds 1” apart on cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 mins, or until edges are barely browned. Best if chewy in center. Cool on wire rack. Store tightly covered. They freeze well and taste fresh barely microwaved.
