One of my favorites for this recipe - I've made it for years. Not the healthiest version, but hey, it's a cookie!
Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies from Butter Flavor Crisco
¾ c Butter Flavor Crisco Shortening
1¼ c firmly packed light brown sugar
2 T milk
2 T vanilla
1 egg
2¾ c all-purpose flour (or more)
1 t salt
¾ t baking soda
1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips (or less)
1 c coarsely chopped pecans (opt)
Heat oven to 375. Combine Crisco, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat in egg. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda, then add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes (chewy) or 11-13 minutes (crisp). DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet, then move to foil to cool completely. Servings: 3 dozen cookies
