This recipe came out of a Country Cookin' cookbook from Enoch, Utah. To me, it tastes like the Oats and Honey crunch granola bar from Nature Valley all broken up. I love it! Of course, you can add raisins or any other addition as desired.
6 c quick oats
1 c raw wheat germ
1 c sunflower seeds
1/2 to 1 c flaked coconut
1/2 to 1 c nuts, chopped
1 t salt
3/4 to 1 c vegetable oil
3/4 c honey
Heat oil and honey together; pour over other mixed ingredients. Place on two cookie sheets (I used one and cooked longer as well as mixed it a few more times). Bake at 325 for about 30 minutes. Stir every 3 to 5 mins toward end of cooking time. Cool and store in container in fridge (can be frozen).
