Red Beans & Rice The Sister's Cafe
3 cans red beans
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 pkg Polska Kielbasa (can
also use turkey or low-fat)
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic (or 1/2 t garlic
salt)
1/2 green pepper, chopped
2 dashes Tabasco sauce (or more)
1/2 t oregano
1/2 t thyme
1 t dry mustard
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/4 t cayenne pepper (or
more)
1/2 t Cajun spice (or more)
Drain most of the liquid off
the beans. Place all ingredients directly into the crockpot. Add 3/4 c water.
Cook on low for 3-5 hours. Serve with white or brown rice.
